Chart compilation technology of China MSA reached international advanced level

  According to national maritime working conference recently held in Nanning, hardware and software environment and data management technology on paper chart and ENC compilation of China MSA has reached international advanced level.
  
  In 2009, to enhance technology support for maritime work, China MSA had fully completed technology updates, and HPD had been put into use in port and channel chart and ENC production. Meanwhile, survey area of coastal port and channel amounted to nearly 20,000 km2, and the pass rate of part and channel chart and ENC come up to 100%.
  
  It is reported that China MSA will increase technology application in 2010, including speeding up construction of equipment and information system, completing integration of existing marine information resources, overall planning new application projects and developing the force of technological infrastructure and a variety of application software system. In addition, China MSA will explore and promote the application of advance technology such as 3G, unmanned aircraft, internet of things in emergency rescue, maritime communication and maritime investigation so as to improve maritime decision-making.
